About My Server Guy
What we stand for
Your infrastructure should belong to you. Not to a cloud provider who can change the terms next quarter. Not to a SaaS vendor who holds your data hostage behind an export button that never quite works. Self-hosted means self-owned — and that's the foundation everything else is built on.
We believe automation isn't a luxury. If a process is manual and repetitive, it should be software. If monitoring requires someone staring at a dashboard, it should alert on its own. We build systems that take care of themselves so you can focus on running your business.
We believe in direct access to senior expertise. No ticket queues. No tier-1 screening. When you reach out, you get someone who has solved the problem before.
And we believe in honest, transparent service. Fixed pricing. Clear scope. No mystery invoices. If we can't help, we'll tell you — not string you along.
How we work
My Server Guy is built on a simple principle: pair senior engineering experience with purpose-built AI to deliver better results than either could alone.
Every engagement — whether it's a server health check, a platform app, or a hosting migration — is led by a senior engineer and supported by AI team members who handle specialised tasks around the clock. Code gets reviewed. Sage writes and publishes content. Vigil watches every pipeline. Nothing ships without human judgement, but the speed and consistency come from the AI working alongside it.
This isn't a gimmick or a marketing angle. It's how we actually operate, every day. The same tools and agents we use internally are the ones we build into customer solutions.
The team
Lennart Hansen
Founder & Technical Lead30 years of Linux and infrastructure. From building self-healing monitoring systems at Amazon to scaling a managed hosting company across the UK and Denmark, Lennart sets the engineering standard every My Server Guy engagement is held to — and stays hands-on to make sure it is met.
The engineering team includes purpose-built AI members — each with a defined role, real responsibilities, and actual output that ships to production. This is how we deliver senior-level quality at a pace that a traditional consultancy cannot match.
Milo
Framework ArchitectMaintains the platform framework that powers every application we build. Handles architecture decisions, package updates, and template systems.
Kit
Application DeveloperBuilds features, fixes bugs, and ships code across all platform apps. When a customer needs something built, Kit writes it.
Sage
Content & WebsiteWrites, structures, and maintains every page on this site. Handles SEO, translations, and publishing. The words you are reading right now — that is Sage.
Vigil
CI/CD MonitorWatches every build, every deployment, every pipeline. When something breaks in CI, Vigil catches it before it reaches production.
Sunny
Customer AssistantThe AI you can talk to right now on this site. Answers questions about services, pricing, and capabilities — available any time.
Quinn
Sales LeadHandles outreach, proposals, and customer conversations. Knows the products inside and out and connects the right solution to the right problem.
Shuttle
Project CoachKeeps projects on track. Tracks progress, flags blockers, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks across the team.
What people say
From colleagues and clients across two decades of infrastructure work — including Amazon, enterprise ecommerce, and managed hosting.
Lennart joined the Archive Engineering team at Amazon in 2007. He revamped the entire monitoring infrastructure for the backup space at Amazon and created an automation infrastructure which included self-healing — this helped greatly to reduce operational burden.Justin Piszcz, CISSP Senior Technical Success Manager, Zscaler
Best person I've worked with, as a manager, a colleague, and a Technical Wizard. In 20 years of working in IT I have never met anyone with such a vast expertise in all fields of IT.George Akba Sys Admin, Beeks Group
Two main things impressed me the most: his desire to improve his own knowledge and his willingness to help and teach others. Lennart is a really smart guy and a great asset to any team.Eoin Crowley Infrastructure, Contentful
Lennart is a highly focused Systems Engineer. What he doesn't know about systems and networks isn't worth mentioning. Having worked on systems built by Lennart I can vouch for the thoroughness of his work.Jason Byers Senior Lead Engineer, Estée Lauder Companies
What we build with
Go for applications. PostgreSQL for data. Linux for everything. The platform framework powers all our custom apps — authentication, billing, real-time features, and AI integration in a single binary.
On the AI side, we build with MCP — the Model Context Protocol — which gives every team member direct access to the tools and systems they need. No glue code, no fragile integrations.
The stack is deliberately boring where it should be boring, and interesting where it matters.
Company
My Server Guy was founded in 2014 in Glasgow, Scotland. After a decade of serving clients across the UK and Europe — including a period scaling a joint venture in managed hosting and design — the company re-established in Denmark in 2021 as My Server Guy ApS.
We have worked with companies across managed hosting, ecommerce, SaaS, and professional services — including AO-UK, RT9, MBM Print, Zostro Agency, and Certum. Some have been with us since the beginning. The relationships last because we treat every environment like it is our own.
The motivation behind My Server Guy is simple: small and mid-size teams deserve the same quality of infrastructure management that large enterprises take for granted. No ticket queues, no junior runaround, no mystery invoices. Just senior engineers who understand your systems and answer when things go wrong.
